I'm a teacher of students with cognitive impairments. We recently talked about volunteer experiences that can enhance our lives and get us ready for post-secondary life. What I tried to point out in my lessons is that passion and enthusiasm is contagious and beautiful all at once. These dynamic aspects of drive and purpose happen concurrently in people who enjoy their work. Their joy is apparent and makes itself known so easily. My point: thank you for sharing your article about Tian whose love for his work and his ideas and his empathy for his community in need has transformed itself (with his immense vision and work!) into a business that benefits not only himself and his company, but his local community as well.
His desire to be true to his beliefs and making these beliefs "tangible" - - - by way of his shoes -- is inspiring.
I'm grateful for this share of human kindness.
